Default 2 Cat transport

looking to fly with Monarch and bring over 2 cats at the same time, anyone brought cats from Gatwick to Alicante? Then I need onward travel. Have done the train from Alicante to Valencia but don't think that its practical. Ideally I need a onward transfer company who won't object to 2 potentially smelly animals car sharing. Anyone with any experience or would I be better just getting an animal transportation company to do the whole thing? One ca is 14 years old so I want to minimise the journey time. Any help appreciated.

Hi, not got cats but a wee dog. I had not seen that Monarch allowed pets on all Monarchs scheduled UK departure airports, but can only be returned via London Gatwick & Manchester. Also not on Saturdays and Sundays.

Are pets allowed on trains here ? I have tried to find a definitive answer but failed so far.

Hope someone more helpful comes along soon

When we relocated we transported our cat of 16 years, dog of 15 years, 2 rabbits and a hamster. We used a fantastic company who brought them all over land and all arrived happy and content. I can only speak from this experience as I have non in air travel.

Can you let me know the name of the company and approximate cost? Many thanks!

We flew 3 cats with Monarch, but from Manchester to Alicante. It was a painless experience, our cats were 16, 15 and 9 years old at the time. All three were fine. We chose to fly them because it's quicker, and we thought less stressful than a long road journey.

We've just done two "cat sized" dogs from Malaga to Gatwick with Monarch and it cost us 770€ for the two. We had to buy the right sized (they tell you the dimensions), airtravel approved boxes tho, which added an extra 200€ !!!!

All went well and they seemed to be looked after well at each end

It was nearly 3 years ago when we brought our cats over. From what I can remember it cost around £375 for the three of them. It's cheaper if you book direct with Monarch yourself rather than go through one of the companies who advertise to do it for you. We just bought carriers cheaply of the right dimensions, it wasn't queried.
