18 month old lab to be shot
#1
From 'Ladies-that Lunch' via Facebook: A desperate plea has gone out for anyone who will take in a very thin very friendly 18month old male Labrador. Apparently the dog is located at the dog is at a local dump near monda-guaro... he was being fed by a lady who leaves Spain for the UK tomorrow. The spanish owner of dump says he is going to shoot the dog if it is not rehomed as they do not want him. The woman leaves for the UK tomorrow so this is really urgent.

Is there that special person out there that can offer this dog a forever home. Many of the rescue centres a full to capacity with dogs that had homes and through no fault of their own other than they had owners that did not love them enough to spend a little money on getting them ready for the trip back to the UK as they left:curse:.
That leaves those dogs that have never known the love and affection how ever brief without the chance of ever getting the chance
If you think you can offer the dog the chance please consider him, if not him maybe one of the many other little, big, old, young, healthy or one with a disability that special chance of a forever home.

Just a quick update on the Lab, I have taken him in until we can find a forever home for him, he is lovely think he is a lab/mastin cross def not a full lab.
All he wants is someone to love him and a nice place to put his weary bones and at the moment he is all bones. We have called him chance, it seems to suit him, he is very placid but not to sure on the 7 foster puppies I have running riot
. He was a little weary of my other 4 dogs but gets on well with them now he has settled in and as for the cat he has not battered an eyelid.
If you feel you can give this dog a deserving home please let me know

It's a never ending problem isn't it? We came out here with an elderly cat & dog and said that when they went 'never again' so that we could travel around the country (and further afield) as we pleased.
Eight years on and we have six rescue dogs, four rescue cats and we are also involved with fostering dogs who have been re-homed in Germany, Holland and Austria via brilliant charities based in those countries.
Well done you for helping this poor dog in its struggle to find a home and I wish you all the best - at the end of the day education is needed, it's OUR fault - NOT theirs!
(I'll PM you links to the charities if you like!)

He has been at my house now for 3 days and has settled in well, if anyone in the cds area could give this dog a home I am sure you will gain so much from him, he learns quickly and all he needs is a chance and "chance" is what I called him.

Mistreating animals in Spain is illegal. The offender may be jailed or condemned to pay high fines.
Bravo for jay01 and I hope paintermujer's good wishes come true.

He is a lovely dog and will make someone a great companion. I really enjoy the fostering I do and get great satisfaction when they get forever homes.
