Default Urgent -Who owns land that is being developed?

We have recently found out that a plot of land next to our soon to be house will possibly be developed. They are testing soil at the moment. Is there anyone who knows about land development or land ownership and where we can find out who owns the land and what development is being proposed and timescales etc? It is so easy in the UK but near impossible here!
Any solicitors/lawyers or estate agents out there PLEASE!

IF you are referring to Singapore then go along to the URA offices.
They have a model there of future development of all Singapore.
OK it might be a few months out of date and the scale might not allow you to spot your plot but ask someone there and you might get an answer.

As suggested by ex reg you can check with the URA.

They have some services: https://www.ura.gov.sg/eservices/eservices-sitemap.jsp

You might find any planning permission decisions ect. by looking at: http://spring.ura.gov.sg/dcd/eservic...er/edrMain.cfm

Good luck!
