UK resident looking to secure work in Singapore - advice welcome
I am a qualified Accountant who is looking for work in the Singapore.
I have been sending off my CV and applying for jobs but without success at the moment. Some recruitment agencies have suggested that I would need to be resident in Singapore before they will consider me.
Does anyone have any experience of securing work in Singapore from the UK who can offer some advice as to the most effective route in.
Appreciate any help.

Hi
Employment visas are hard to apply for nowadays in Singapore. They are trying restricting the number of foreigners... I think being resident in Singapore increases your chances.

There is no short of Accountants in Singapore and even if you got offered a job the MOM might not issue you an Employment Pass since it is not really a specialised skill.
However, if the pay was well over the market average (EP P1 or higher) then I believe you stand a good chance.
Personally I would recommend you consider an alternate location if you are just a normal accountant.
