Is there a demand for Western Expats with Mandarin language skills in Singapore?
As per the title.
If a British person has reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in Mandarin what jobs could they do? Sadly I am only 25 years old and don’t have any other skills that I can pair with my language skills.
However I do have a degree (a first class degree in Management, Communications and Technology).
I would imagine that with Singapore being a Chinese speaking country they could easily find a local candidate with Mandarin language skills and knowledge of the local environment. If this is the case what skills and qualifications could I get that would go well with my language skills? What industries and sectors should I be looking into?
Many Thanks

I'm not sure what you could do, the fact is English is the main language, and the official language of all business and government organisations in Singapore. There will no doubt be companies that deal with China but then Singapore has a large population of highly educated Chinese speakers anyway.
