Singapore - tax question
Hello there,
I'm going to be working in Singapore for 3 months (for a singaporean company) - can anyone tell me what rates of taxation are like there? so if I earn say 5000 SGD a month what would I expect to take home?
Any advice much appreciated
Juanita

I think the tax rate is about 10% but 20% contribution to the local superannuation fund might also be required. Remember you will need to declare this income on your return to UK (although it can be offset by any local taxes paid)

First $20 000 = 0%
Next $10 000 = 3.75%
Next $10 000 = 5.75
Next $40 000 = 8.75%
Next $80 000 = $14.5%
Next $180 000 = 18%
There are some tax free allowances too, for non-working wives and children. Just noticed though that you will be here for only 3 months. If you are working here for less than 183 days then you are considered a non resident so a flat rate of 15% applies.
