Hi
I have been given an housing allowance of $1200 per month. I would be looking for a house share but I keep seeing light cooking no cooking. I would like to live with young professionals or students mid 20s to early 30s. Rather than a family renting out a room.
Are there any apps pr websites that cater for young professional house shares?
Can I rent a room in a condo with this budget?

Do you mean S$1200 pm??
If so it's quite low.
You might find it easier to look at renting or sharing an HDB flat.
These can be new and well decorated and in a good location and sell for up to S$1,000,000 or they can be shabby.

You can find a room in a condo in Paya Lebar, Punggol, Pasir Ris, some parts of East Coast, and also in Bukit Batok for that price.
3 bed condos are around 3k SGD a month so finding a master room for 1200 may be possible. If you are working in central then it will take around an hour to 90 mins journey.
Go to property guru Singapore and you will see exactly what I mean.

No probs.
To avoid confusion, where I said before 3 bed condos are 3k a month, I was referring to locations that are quite far out from central as compared to those in prime locations.

We (5 of us) are going to Singapoore for a week in July and were looking at staying at [email protected] Apartments, but cant seem to find any reviews anywhere. Its near Paya Lebar MRT. Would to know if anyone knows anything about these and also the immediate area. Thanks.

Paya Lebar is about 6 MRT stops from central. Couple of malls around the area and easy to get to the city area. How far is it from train station I'm not too sure but it is a decent place to stay for a week and no doubt cheaper than the city hotels.
