Question about Singapore
So I want to go to Singapore on vacation soon and eventually live there. It seems like a great place and it seems like it is safe. That second part I just want to confirm. Does anyone here who has been in or lived in Singapore know if it is really safe. Because the worst thing I have seen so far after looking at the news is the police stoped some drug dealers.
Thanks in advance.

Like many southeast Asian countries, alcohol is expensive, particularly spirits and wine. Tiger beer is cheap and a nice, refreshing lager (much appreciated in the Singapore heat and humidity).
If you want to eat well and cheaply, there's a great food hall near the Marina. Always packed with locals, which is a good sign.
Taxis are cheap and plentiful, and I've always found the drivers very honest. People are very polite and friendly. I stay away from the Orchard Road shopping area, to me it's just another city street, you could be anywhere.
You're spoilt for choice when it comes to accommodation, Singapore has it all, from very reasonably priced 2 and 3 star hotels, right up to the swanky 5 star ones. I've stayed at the hotel Jerseygirl recommends and although it was lovely it's a bit too modern and glittery for me. I prefer the Fullerton, lots of heritage and very nice restaurants.
Pretty sure that wherever you stay and whatever you do, you'll love it. Sunscreen, hat and lots of water highly recommended.
