Hello
I am moving to Singapore in January. While we have our first choice of school place for our daughter, our son in year one still doesn't have one. I plan to arrange a teacher to homeschool him until a place comes up.
Can anyone please advise on how to find a suitably qualified and friendly teacher who can keep him up to the right standard but also help him feel comfortable about such a big change in his life?

It might seem strange to homeschool in Singapore when our public education system is so well-developed. Whatever the reason, homeschooling is happening in Singapore. The question is whether it will become more mainstream as Singapore becomes a diverse nation. In US, homeschooling has swelled to millions of families so there might be a possibility of homeschooling becoming more common in the future.

I cannot see the Min of Ed in Singapore approving of home-schooling. Have you checked if it is possible ? "Civil Liberties" can be seen differently in some countries.
