Salutations!
We are looking for an expat family for our current domestic worker. She is 43years of age; Sri Lankan Sinhalese with more than 20years experience in childcare, cooking and general household duties. She has worked in both Jordan (10 Years) and Cypress (10 Years). We had recently started my daughter in full day school program and do not need a helper anymore at our home. Hence we are looking to transfer our wonderful helper to another employer.
Her forte would be childcare as she has 23years experience looking after babies, toddlers and kids on the whole and is a very patient and attentive person. Most importantly, she has good communication skills in English and she can work independently without any supervision. She is very reliable and trustworthy. She has been working with us looking after our 5yrs old daughter and doing the cooking and general household duties. We didn’t have any problem during that period. She is a very good cook who specialises in western cooking as well. Having said that, she would be very apt for an Expat household whose requirement may be fantastic western food and childcare for babies/toddler/kids.
Our helper is available 1 March 2014. ONLY Genuine Expat Employers Please. You can contact me to know about her current salary package/off days and of course her expect remuneration.
We strongly recommend her as a trustworthy, responsible and very reliable helper.
Cheerio!

Don't forget if no one from this forum is interested you can return her to the agency you got her from and she can then have a chance of being a 'transfer maid'.
If she goes home and has to start again she'll have to pay exorbitant agency fees.

Hi. I did not go thru ant agent to get her. Did all the paperwork myself. So can't send her nowhere. I intend to transfer her to a good family. Thanks.

Hi, I may be interested as just in the process of relocating. However, my children are older - 16, 13 and 8. My 13 year old has special needs - hence the need for a child minder type maid rather than just a maid. It's essential we find a warm, nurturing person - but not a walkover.
I would expect her to sit them when I was not there. But also to help out with ferrying them around should they need it. During the day it would be general housework and cooking.
Does this sound like something she would consider?
We are not moving until July though, but will be coming out on a scouting visit next month.
If you can send me more details that would be great. I'm new to this so any advice be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and we will - fingers crossed - also have our dog.
Thanks.

For info, the PM function on here only works after 3 posts so..... if motherof1 would like to put one more post on here, you guys can contact each other via the PM function.
If you click on the person's forum name, you'll see a drop down menu and Personal Message is on there.
I see you've both got the Email notification ticked too so, if you prefer, you can send each other emails via the site. Up to you.
Hope it works out.

. Can I suggest you send her an email via the drop down menu, as that is enabled.

Dear Motherof1
I am also a mother of one. I am a single mother (Canadian) about to move to Singapore and desperately needing a very reliable good helper. My managerial job requires some travel and absences. I have a wonderful nanny helper right now but she cannot move with me.
Your post was a godsend, 1 March is exactly the date I would ask someone to start. I was looking for a person older, experienced and trustworthy and referred by a family who valued her so much they ensured her next employer will provide generous conditions to her. I am doing the same advertisement and transfer for my current nanny helper who sounds very much like your helper, she has also been an invaluable support to my small family.
I have just signed on to this forum so I must send 2 other posts before we can communicate. Thank you in advance.

Hi Bluegreen,
I am unsure as to how I can contact you. My helper is still available. I am still looking for a good fit for her.
How many posts will let me send out PVT MSGS?

Dear motherof1 and Bakedbean
Sorry being a newbie, I cannot find the email function to email motherof1 directly. I will also post one more post to receive PMs (hopefully).
Thank you for your advice.

Click on the username to the side of the person's post.
A drop down menu will appear
The 3rd option is to send email to xxxxx
It is 3 legitimate posts to access the private message facility.
A private message can be read by someone via the email address they registered to BE with, so they need not have access to BE PM service to read mail.
