Default Big move, many questions!

Hi, I've just accepted a job offer and will be moving from London to Singapore at the end of January. My girlfriend will be joining me as soon as she finds a job. I've got so many questions, some may sound dumb, but I hope you'll be able to guide us in the right direction!

1. Where to live? We're a young, sociable, sporty couple who will be working in CBD (or close to). Prefer condo, min 2 bed and looking to spend no more than S$4000

2. Is it better to bring furniture with us or rent fully furnished? Never emigrated before so ANY advice on this would be awesome.

3. Is it better to buy suitable clothing whilst in London or is it cheaper, and more suitable, to buy in Singapore? Clearly I won't need too many jumpers but would you recommend anything in particular to prepare my wardrobe?

4. My girlfriend loves to cycle to work. Are the roads safe for cyclists?

So many more questions every day as the move becomes a reality but any help on these ones will give us a good platform to start from.

In general although property prices have continued on their upward spiral rental prices have stabilized or dropped, mainly because there are less ex pat contracts around and more local.
1. Anywhere.
2.If you own property in UK and will either keep it or rent it then imo leave your furniture there.
3.Depends on the job. Suits are worn in certain professions and positions.
Aircon is always set too high in offices, shops and MRT so don't discount sweaters. You can buy here exactly what you can buy in London but it'll be a bit more expensive here.
4. People do cycle to work. Is it safe. Well ...

Plenty of threads giving answers to your unasked questions.
