ENS Visa (121/856) (Part 3....Dec 2010 onwards)
Hi everyone
How long does it take for the 856 application to be finalised? It's been 3 months since providing all documents and still no word. Is it just the slowness of beurocracy or are they really doing any active work and assessment ? They dont say anything and you just wait and wait...
thanks

HI xyz,
The application has not yet been allocated to a case officer for assessment
and your application was lodged on the 29/06/2010.
We are experiencing temporary delays due to an unprecedented increase in
applications received through this office and we process all applications
in order of date of lodgement and in line with general processing
requirements. This ensures that all visa applicants are processed in a fair
manner.
Until your case has been allocated to a case officer, we are unable to
provide you with a processing update or if and when will the application be
allocated. However, please note that the service standards for processing
ENS/ RSMS visas are:
Please note that the published service standards for ENS/RSMS cases is 5
months (ETA countries) and 7 months (non-ETA countries). Timeframes for
processing an application vary from one case to another, depending on the
individual circumstances of each applicant . The NSW PESE team are
committed to providing you with an decision on your application within the
published service standards.
We apologise for all inconveniences caused as a result of the delays in
allocation.
Clients are requested to explore other pathways, such as the 457 temporary
business visa, for all urgent cases where the nominating employer needs the
applicant to commence working in the position within the published service
standards.
THERE ARE PEOPLE WAITING FOR 8 MONTHS ..............

Re: ENS Visa (121/856) Current Timescales (Part 2.....)
Hi
Just to keep those updated who have applied via Perth. I had an email from my MA yesterday to say that Perth is currently processing applications from June and that it seems very unlikely that my visa grant will come through before Christmas. We submitted a Decision Ready application as per my timeline below.
Oh well...we will just have to keep waiting until the New Year!!!
Good Luck to all!

Re: ENS Visa (121/856) Current Timescales (Part 2.....)
Thanks mate...Im already doing it!
Piece of advice to u all...my game changed when I emailed Immi.
I received one of those standard messages..."bla bla bla, we are so busy, bla bla bla, backlogs, bla bla bla, be patient."
At that time it was 5 months from application...still no word...
I replied to the email asking about the 3 to 5 months limit for the Nomination.
An officer replied telling me he was sending my case to a senior officer.
2 weeks later, Nomination Approved...3 days later, Visa granted.
I dont think is wise to email them before, lets say, the 5th month...but after that, you should def go to town!
Good luck to all of u...its coming, dont u worry!!!
