From: Getting In Touch With My Dysfunctional Side...

Just thought I would let those that were wondering know that I have been around ...kind of in lurking mode, as I sort things that need to be done before returning to the UK. The reasons are many, but the major ones are:
Work
Work
Work
& last but not least.....work...or the lack thereof
We have decided that we do not want to just get any job and live life without little luxuries, like holidays (haven't had one in 4 years we've been here), free weekends, family, worrying about what is going to happen with our pensions....well, you get the idea. One cannot survive on sun, cheap booze and cigarettes alone
....although, one can seriously give it a good go
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, we have found a beautiful cottage in the Peak District and ...... believe it or not.....WORK too.....without even putting in that much effort and we are permanently leaving Spain in a few days.
As soon as we get some type of internet connection, I may well visit from time to time to say hi
In the meantime, I would like to leave you all with this:

Best of luck to you and Martin. Your sentiments echo mine exactly. We are off on Friday as well.
Life is an adventure, the aim is not the destination, but the journey getting there! Or something like that
