this season marks the start of the new premiership tv rights, which is how Setanta have now got in on the act. Maybe Fox lost their rights!

They do have a rugby team, and they're in the world cup.
Only bars and the like will show it, but there's no home service which shows live rugby as yet, unless someone knows something I don't.
Setanta have plans to put it on their schedule but not till later in the year.

Seems like Sportsworld lost / did not renew there contract. (If they have it, I cant find it on the schedule)

The Score (cable chanel with anoying ticker) is however picking up one sunday match most weeks.

Yes, you are right, The Score will have the 11h00 EST Sunday game live complete with the annoying ticker. Sportsnet will have the 2nd choice 10h00 EST Saturday game.

The rest is going to be on Setanta Sports Canada (8 games per round..with probably about 4 live, the rest on tape delay). Setanta is rumoured to cost $14.99/month on Express Vu and Rogers. I don't believe that they have contracts with anybody else. The channel is scheduled to launch on August 11 with a 1 month free trial and then a minimum 4 month contract. I think I'll take it but quit for mid May to mid August.

The Rugby World Cup is scheduled to be on Setanta along with other rugby.

In addition, Carling Cup, Coca Cola Championship, Scottish and French footie.

Fox Sports World Canada are the real losers in this as they have no EPL footie this season.

Thanks, I hadnt seen the one game on sportnet for the east/ ontario.

When you search for soccer it skips it, presumably because its not available in all regions.

Realistically 10th place or better this year.

In 12 months all the controversy will be behind us so we'll be more attractive to better players.

We'll push on and always be in the running for Europe from then on . . . . . . . but it will be difficult for anyone other than the top four to ever get into the Champions League.

And we're going to have a nice new stadium in 2010 (although I will miss the old one).
As long as they keep selling chicken balti pies at the ground I'll be happy. That's the real reason I support West Ham.

We do have a lot of injuries at the moment though (getting my excuses in early)
