Dear Friends,
Are fees payable for the school dependants (11 and 14 years old) of the person who is on student visa in Sydney NSW? If yes how much? Where can I get information about it?

Absolutely yes. Fees are about A$5k per child per year, depending on age.

Its around $5000 per year per child for public school, but once a permanent resident its free

hi there again,yes the public school fees are around 4500 per child per year on a temp visa.once your pr it is free but you still pay around 1000 dollars a year for various books etc.we decided to place ours in the local catholic school as they had small classess and are total school fees for the year was 6000 for four children including one going to high school.it was relatively easy to do though because they went to same church school in uk.only thing is if you become pr obviously you would still pay,but it still worked out cheaper because we couldnt bank on our residency coming through next year.
my friend who is on her way back to london due to visa not working out were non catholics and her two children went to same school.
