I-551 New Alien Card - Change of Address QUICK RESPONSE PLZ
Hello
Just a quickie guys........
I have my NOA, stating for me to go to my local office in Charleston to
get my new alien card.
I have not received confirmation of my change of address (AR11). Ive
posted it twice, the last one (signature REQ) about 10 days ago.
I'm just wondering, will they turn me down if they dont have
confirmation of my new address?
I dont want to go down there, and have them say "good riddance"
Thanks
and I appreciate any quick responses

You won't get a receipt (NOA) for the AR-11. Also, the AR-11 doesn't actually change your address with USCIS. To do that, you need to send a notice in writing to any local office or service center you are dealing with, informing them of your new address. Also call the 800 number several times to get it in the system there.
I doubt they would turn you away when you go for your Infopass. In fact you can mention the new address there, and see if they can up date it right then and there. Make sure they DO know your new address through all those channels. You don't want your new green card coming to an old address.
Also, if you had a sponsor do an I-864 for you...make sure they fill out an I-865, sponsor's change of address, if they moved with you (marriage-based AOS).
Best Wishes,
Rene

Re: I-551 New Alien Card - Change of Address QUICK RESPONSE PLZ
Thanks Rete for your quick reply,
Ive tried on the phone, and they always tell me I can do anything about
my address over the phone.
I also sent a confirmed letter to my local office in Charleston, and a
week later I got a letter stating they couldnt accept the change of
address I had sent in. They stated it had to be an AR-11 form to the
address in Kentucky (the one I have already sent in twice).
The I-865 form has already sent that, but thanks for the reminder.
I shall be going down next week, and I shall ask for the temporary
stamp, as I want to go back to Blighty next month.
cheers
