I live in CT and I'd never heard of Madison...had to look it up on the map. I see it's on the coast near New Haven. Can't really give you much advice on Madison but CT is one of the better states to come to I suppose, because it's more like England that the West Coast or Midwest. It's one of the most expensive states but many parts of it are beautiful. I would probably say you could do a lot worse.
