Well I got bitten by one and it a) hurt and b) formed an ulcer around the bite. Although the ulcerations are generally considered to be caused by bacteria rather than the poison itself, the fact remains that my skin ulcerated as the result of being bitten by a whitetail. So I shall continue to squish those that come near me!
