Susique. Yes, we have - here is a link to the English page if you need a manual. There is also a telefonicaninenglish.com site.

I was was after reassurance that the company did exist and that we might actually get a phone line.
We have had 35 euros deducted and they haven't done much except tell us they couldn't find our house!

Telefonica is the national phone is Spain, no problem there, they definately exist, try calling them on 1004 st the end of the Message in Spanish say "hablas ingles" you should then get an English speaking operator on. You may have to keep trying as it can get very busy.

I think we will leave it for now and see what develops. Just keep an eye on the bank account for any further amounts going out.
ArcoIris says she has had a phone line through them so must be OK.
If we ring anyone else we might get two phone lines (chance would be a fine thing eh??)

Pleased your mind is now at rest, might be worth calling though and arrange to meet them somewhere when they next come to install.

Susique. I have made a huge assumption that you meant "Telefonica" the national telephone company and not one called Telefonica in English. Did a quick google and there is a company calling itself that in Benalmadena, one Antonio Machada runs it.
So sorry.....my misunderstanding. Seems like a bit more research required.

Yes, there seems to be some confusion here.
Do you mean that you are using Telefonica, the national telephone company
(this is there english language site) http://www.telefonicainenglish.com/
or is it a local company, or are you just confused with the front page heading on the site?
Hate to give you duff info

I phoned them and they said they were agents for Telefonica but I guess that it is all a con but have no evidence. So my advice is don't touch them just in case! Telefonica agents speak English and as I said came out in 2 days. Dial 1004 from any Spanish phone and keep saying help, This will put you through to a Spanish operator! Good luck.... .
