Not sure if this is the right place to post, but if you have UK DVDs/Blu-Rays then Wal-mart is selling a Seiko BD660 Blu-Ray player for $88 which can be hacked to play UK DVDs and Blu-Rays.
Hack details from Videohelp.
RedFlag discussion on the player.
Just putting one through its paces. So far so good, but a little on the warm side.

Thanks for the heads up. Pretty cool it can play files off of a USB stick as well including MKV, I have to say that did get my attention being an anime fan as most fansubs are in that format! May have to consider this one...

:bump:
Bought this today, absolutely fantastic player for my UK DVDs, and it *does* play MKVs off of FAT32 formatted drives, with subtitles and all! Yatta!
Fantastic player, well worth the money (about $103 altogether with taxes in BC)

Alan perhaps you should consider one of these http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=735
Networkable (hard wire or wireless) and plays off an external drive.
$130 at Memory Express: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Product...4%28ME%29.aspx
$99.99 at Dell: http://accessories.dell.com/sna/prod...swvXQu6jZuLYwQ
I have mine networked and I'm really pleased with the image quality.

Hmm well at the moment I've only got it hooked up with composite cables, and it's saying Video format unsupported with h264 and avc 1080p videos I've tried. Once I get an HDMI cable I'll try again, it might just not be able to scale them down or something.

I would also be interested to know if anyone has found a region free DVD recently.
We have just bough a sony tv/blueray home cinema package at a brilliant price it plays both UK and NA blu-rays beautifully, together with DVDs bought here. It wont play the uk DVD's though. Any suggestions for a cheap DVD player that will play uk discs that I can add into my system? Thanks.

It says it's Region 1 in the box, but it plays all our UK dvds with no issues whatsoever, no hacking required
