Default Anyone sailed from Brooklyn on QM2, stayed in a hotel with dog?

I am trying to find a pet friendly hotel in Brooklyn near the Cruise Terminal to stay at the night before our voyage (June). Obviously don't want anywhere seedy as it will be just me and my daughter. She is also insulin dependent diabetic, so I also need to be able to find somewhere nearby to eat.
Will have to get a taxi from the airport to hotel and hotel to cruise ship. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I was wondering about this just the other day. Do hotels even let animals in?

Ask Cunard? Their kennel master or kennel maid might know.

There are also cruise messageboards - perhaps you could google your question and have + forum or + messageboard in the search facility.
