That AlistairsBoil bloke has only been here five min and he gets a top job... favoritism I call it.

Seriously though, its not to do with how long someone is online, Alistair's already contributed a lot to BE one way and another - articles and wiki and stuff, I think he's a good choice. I'm too cynical these days to be much good at welcoming new posters, more likely to send them running for the hills
