i just want to have it , so to save money on buying the new one
till the time i find my job.. its bettet to have the company one.. than to buy the new one.
if the shipment back is costly then i will probably buy my own
.. but if not i can enjoy it for another couple of months for the leave i have got approved from my company

I might be reading this the wrong way, but if you will be no longer employed by the company and you just take it after you leave their employ, wouldn't that be theft? It would be in Australia.

.... but then if you are leaving the company, why are you being allowed to take the laptop?
