According to my parents, the weather has been nice for the last few days, but its winter - so it could be raining today... i don't know, I live in Bangkok. Perth gets some magic winter days, but it can get cold!

Hmmmn! An interesting question. My suggestion is that you simply try strolling through the streets of some key locations and taste the sights and sounds as you go.

Where to start? You could try Fremantle, Subiaco or Leederville for starters. This will keep you occupied for months just sampling the restaurants, cafes and theatres on offer. Also, a walk around the Northbridge area (just a few hundred meters north of the city centre - across the railway line) will give you lots of 'cultural' choices as well.
