We are selling our home as we have that amount in equity. Did you sit on your savings for 6 months? Or do you think we would be safe to submit it before because it was $ invested in the home?

I think the wise thing to do then is try and open up a joint bank account in England and deposit it there and then sit on it for 6 months?

I think the article is incorrect because everything else I have read on the gov.uk site and on this site says that british children are not to be considered in that amount. I hope this is true...

We are doing the same thing. When are you going to apply? I'm rooting for you :) I think we will hear tomorrow sometime how the appeal went for changing the financial requirement for this visa....
