Maybe has air in the system or worse case head gasket gone, you should not need to flush a 2004 car unless it has been very poorly maintained or abused, take it to a competent mechanic as you it will...

New one is only 51,77 plus iva if its a L322 , p/n PCF000030 , would not buy s/h tat for a late expensive car .
