When it's Christmas cake it's actually the law that your slice should be cut into fingers with a little bit of Marzipan on the top of each bit.

Bite size pieces with mostly the fruit cake...

Maybe you just picked a day they didn't have any. They don't always have them and when they do, I've only ever seen them in the one branch - the "posh" one. :nod:

It's good to do that. I've done it when there's been plenty of gravy left and it makes more sense to repeat and delay the cold version.

Did you track down a Pheasant in Sobeys?
