OK, let's look at what you'll need. I assume your daughter has a NZ passport so it's only you who needs a ticket for onward travel.
That ticket could be to anywhere, all you need is proof on...

Agree with Catchafire and Capp. Make sure you arrive at the airport in plenty of time in case you have to buy a ticket out of NZ. Unless you buy a refundable one in advance just in case.
