Yes, that’s an AOR. Your application number may be on that email? Will start with a C followed by several digits i.e C98765432. Or you should be able to sign in to your account if you applied online...

What 'emergency return visa'? I'm intrigued, never heard of one of those before, most people have to apply for a PRTD.

It's actually much quicker now than it has been in the past. Has your daughter gone abroad? If so, presumably she knows she needs a PRTD to come back to Canada?

You can send a case specific email but as you’re well within the published processing time of 23 months I’m not sure it will help at all. Sounds like your friends cases are just anomalies tbh, and...
