P.S. Don't forget that re: your father, he has a very tight deadline - parent sponsorship re-opens beginning of Jan, but the quota will fill very quickly, so you need to have his PR renounced by...

I know that if your appeal is refused it'll add 6 months to the whole process, but it'll take you longer than that to get PR again once renounced so it may still be worth a...

I don't think any of those issues would cause your father to fail a medical.

But I'm just checking, you're aware that you can't sponsor your father until you have 3 years of income from Canadian...

No, sadly not. Plenty of people sell houses from abroad, he didn't have to be there.

If he's definitely not met the RO, just get him to renounce his PR asap and then you can always reapply to...

I don't think CIC publish timescales for renouncing PR, but it's usually pretty quick, I think 2-4 weeks from when the form is sent in.

Doing both is a plan, but personally I'd urgently appeal and then worry about the MP. A week's already been wasted, I wouldn't delay any further personally.

I can’t see the point in an MP either tbh - if you’re sure you supplied everything required, then just appeal, no point in delaying it by trying to get an MP to help.

Did you actually apply under H&C grounds? If not, then it won't have been considered at all, and in all honesty I can't see why you'd have needed to apply under H&C given you have been living with...

Sorry to hear this. Not sure why you’d want to surrender PR? Can’t you just reapply for the PRTD with more proof of accompanying your wife? What proof did you submit?
