Most will insist that you buy the unit from them so that they can then give a full guarantee. Doing it this way he's more than reasonable.

In my opinion they should always be on their own circuit so that they can be 'isolated' if required - any good electrician will insist on this.

We use panasonic and can't fault them - they are quiet, reasonably cheap to run, are inverters (so can run hot or cold) and were dead easy to install.

We run 2 units of one 'machine' and 3 off...
