yes i renewed with Intasure, with a 30% premium increase, still better than local insurance cover, lets see what happens at the next renewal.

Isakat, who do you use in Italy. I haven't yet renewed with Intasure and am searching for a better deal. However i want Earthquake and INDIRECT flood cover, which seems difficult, if not impossible...

Well I eventually got buildings and contents cover with Intasure and have had no problems (I made no claims) however I just received the first renewal quotation (for my second year) and the premium...

I have bought the policy from Intasure which covers non direct rain damage and also earthquake damage neither of which i could get with Italian insurance companies.

Duffer I read through the Alianz-RAS Ts & Cs a bit more carefully and concluded that flooding (as i described it) is not covered.

Duffer, A very quick scan through suggests to me that flooding is not covered by Alianz-RAS either but i stand to be corrected following a more detailed read through:-

Duffer, do they cover water damage due to "non direct" rainfall?
The wording to look for is as follows

Under the (approximate) heading of:-

Testarossa, no this is not the case, I am not particularly exposed to flooding and, in any case, the flood exclusion is in the general terms and conditions ie they cover no-one for this risk. This...
