People are people all over the wold - but cultures and attitudes certainly differ in different parts of the world.

And the US is quite large - imo large enough to have a few different cultures.

Equally close-knit north and south, or one more than the other?

Appears to me (while obviously all people are different) that there seems to be a tendency for southerners...

My best friend and some family live in Florida - as does Ray, who apparently doesn't think it's entirely Latino. Some areas, sure. Cripes.

LOL I've spent a fair amount of time in Florida. It's not all overrun with Latinos imo. Although I'd agree that lots of Florida isn't clasically "southern".

I'd personally call those more of a western culture. I lived in Arizona, and it didn't feel at all "southern" to me.

Kentucky = southern
Arkansas = southern
Tennessee = southern?
Missouri = northern?
Illinois = northern
