I think I sent mine to Henderson. I only received a letter saying I would be assigned a case officer in 6-9 nine months, so mine doesn't seem that likely. They've kept my passport though, I guess...

I WISH I'd applied in the UK, the estimated wait times are a LOT shorter. Approx 3 months I was told for PR. And its such a pain not having my passport as ID.

Ah well, you live you learn. Guess...

Yes, what you've done is correct, I was just correcting BEVS because you don't need to be a resident to work, only a work visa. You and I have done exactly the same thing, I've got my work visa...

18 months is for residency, work permit is 60 days, or fingers crossed 30 days!

Certainly a lot of delays can be avoided by sending all the right documents, and ensuring everything is filled in correctly. You might be right about the priority given to people with job offers,...

Just to clarify - your documents such as police checks and medicals won't have to be renewed while they're lodged. Like you guys, mine will expire during the 18 months, in fact my police...

Just to quickly pop in and say that I recently posted my application for residency and was told its currently taking 18 months to process applications. Bit of a shock! But a basic work...
