I got a letter on 1st May to say my case officer had been appointed and asking me for a list of extra evidence he required , I replied to that asap and then out of the blue the letter...

Quick update for those still waiting for PR through the partnership policy . I have received my confirmation back it is approved !!!!!! received the work visa last week and now this, just 1 week...

I have received my passport back from immigration with my work permit in it and it says I cannot leave the country or the permit will expire . I am hoping my PR will be approved before this...

Just a quick update, I have heard today that my work visa though the family stream has been approved , it has taken 30 days and not 60 so that was a nice surprise . It looks like the timescales...

I never thought about the medicals etc but it seems very wrong that they would expect you to pay for more as the hold up is of their making and not your fault .But , life isn`t fair...

I am in the same situation , I applied for PR with my OH sponsoring me in Feb and was told the wait was 18 months so I have now applied for a work visa through the family stream processing time...
