I had to deal with a root canal in Ontario, was 750 or around there, no idea what the going rate in BC is.

I have a friend who was quoted 2,500 for the work needed...

I passed the outskirts of Sudbury on Via Rail, man was that area cold. (January) If I recall the stop was like 10km from the town, a good number of people got off the train there though.

And it can take welfare /disability months or even a year or longer to make a decision on medical funding.

My wife has been waiting 4 or 5 months or so for a decision for covering a medical device.

We pay about 50 for a cleaning with coverage, just a check up with no work done is 30 out of pocket.

Crowns, bridges are not covered , root canals might be but not always, wisdom teeth are if...

You need to realize there are a slew of people in Canada in jobs without benefits even full-time workers, while they are more common in professional jobs they are far less common in others, and well...

So true. I've got Native American tribe status in the US with the tribe I am related to, but would never be able to get status in Canada.

You know a lot of people even working full-time at low wages don't get insurance through work, and even if a professional may not get any benefits since casual employment is very popular in some...
