I hear that abseiling is now allowed off the National Monument on the Mall. Be a good scout and bring your own kit.

But it's perfectly OK to take photos of the NSA building and eat a packed lunch on top of the grassy noll nearby. ;)

I started to take to the White Sox over the Cubs because I could see their ballpark. My Chicago apartment was in a high rise that had panoramic views east and south of Chicago, a corner apartment 42...

PS Actually, I prefer the Cub's Wrigley Stadium ... had a lot of character. Watched a couple of games there ... White Sox v. Cubs.

Having lived in dowtown Chicago for several years ... I totally agree. Just don't crap in the road, the locals don't like it.
