We transferred our money this morning. Got 2.402. Would have been better a couple of days ago, but could get worse:).

Vodafone gave us unlock codes FOC. Charge for phone less than 1 yr old is £20. We bought ours in July 2006 so just said hey were a year old in the email and got the unlock codes the next day...

Mike's calling Westpac today to open our accounts.

We have also booked a hire car for 2 weeks from airline-network.co.uk. Got a Mitsubishi Magner so nice and big.

Think I'll go with pay as you go Ast. That's what I've always done here. Mind you, it's maybe worth considering on arrival as I guess we could be making a LOT of calls from our mobiles.:)

Something I forgot to add to my list. Thanks to Fraser, I've got 2 Aus sim cards for our mobile phones.

I believe you can get them on eBay too now:)

We're doing pretty well. Here's what we've done so far.......

House is sold
belongings in storage to be shipped later this month
Council tax paid up to the date we leave
mortgage cleared...
