Re: Should i train as a lawyer here or in UK?

If you go down the NCA route, you will have little alternative as it does not provide any form of assistance with studying other than to recommend textbooks. I passed all my NCA exams by only using...

Re: Should i train as a lawyer here or in UK?

Re: Should i train as a lawyer here or in UK?

You said that you have done extensive research. I provided you with the link to the NCA's website. This sets out the application process. Submit your application and see what exams the NCA...

Re: Should i train as a lawyer here or in UK?

Re: Should i train as a lawyer here or in UK?

I would think that all clients would ask their lawyer if they are experienced in the practise area they are seeking advice on. I was always asked this question by clients in England, I have never...

Re: Should i train as a lawyer here or in UK?

You won't be able to do that in Canada except for items such as house purchases, wills etc. There is not the competition in the legal market in Canada that there is in England.

Re: Should i train as a lawyer here or in UK?

I am not going to argue with that

I don't know about Ontario but, in Alberta, anyone can register a change of transfer at the Land Titles Office, so I don't know what you are getting at here....

Re: Should i train as a lawyer here or in UK?

OK, that still doesn't get over the fact that clients need the service they provide. You won't find me arguing with you that some of their services should be allowed to be provided by others to...

Re: Should i train as a lawyer here or in UK?

Supply and demand innit? If there wasn't the need for them, they wouldn't exist. I blame the clients:rofl::p

Re: Should i train as a lawyer here or in UK?

It's not that difficult, it's more of a pain in the arse. I agree that it makes sense to qualify in the jurisdiction you intend to practise in. The OP could always take the New York Bar - the LL.B....

Re: Should i train as a lawyer here or in UK?

I am sure that that is the case for many in your child's position. However, those that go to University intending to become lawyers deliberately choose to take "easier" courses to ensure the...
