I've got tickets for the IT20 at Chester-le-Street next Saturday. A mate of mine from Kent is coming up to join me. F***ing outrageous that Ben Stokes is being "rested".

Well, I agree that the English have always lead the field in Blood Sports.

I'd suggest though that your susceptibility to North American sports is similar to a predilection for Cryptic Crosswords....

If you just want a short intense blast of sport, why bother with the ice and the hockey. Just stick with mixed martial arts, it's safer.

T20 can be fun but obviously it's not to be compared with...

Yes, although when I last posted England were 116-6 shortly after lunch.

I'm not knocking the achievement of the batsman. As the Graun article points out the previous record innings was accrued in similar circumstances in 1899.

Yes, something like that. They're just kids learning to play at that age.

In football games in many countries (including parts of Canada) they don't even keep score for the youngest ones.

I think poor Tejas, with his 14 years of life experience, might have been a bit unlucky.

I'm reminded of the first competitive game of basketball my then 8 year old
elder son played for the U-14...
