Nobody here has come up with a definite answer about dependents of TWP holders getting work, (and I am uncertain, going on hearsay) so I think you might try asking about this on the Immigration...

We have a member on here who arrived on a TWP in late spring and their 16 yr old son was told that it was too late in the year to join school, and he should go get a job. Unfortunately he was not...

I don't think anyone has yet mentioned this, but I believe that if you come over on a TWP, your spouse can get an open work permit, but your children cannot!
Correct me if I'm wrong, somebody!
