I've visited every area within 2hrs of Lisbon airport many times over the last 5yrs (I tend to research a lot before making a big decision) and Obidos has always come out on...

Yeah it was no problem at all.... very busy and talk of tomorrow's being cancelled but thankfully a fine crossing for us.

Chatting to the crew onboard and they are expecting Friday's sailing to be cancelled... just as a heads up!

Now to see if my 3.5ton land rover pulling a 3.5ton trailer can make it up...

Yeah sat here in Portsmouth hotel, yes Brittany ferries and I'm not complaining about the cancellations just looking for other options if I can't get on this week.

Hmmm.... a touch of a stumbling block!
all UK to Spain ferries cancelled today and tomorrow... next 'possible one' Tuesday!

Any suggestions or experience of how often these are cancelled?

My past includes the polar opposite.... twice had toll road payment issues, both times credit card and both times France.
These days I'm in the habit of always having a large pocket full of small...

Many thanks as always everyone, just checked the route... a25/a23/e1/a15 and as mentioned starting at Vilar Formosa.
Which I think is the route m&m mentions, its quicker slightly and credit card...

So I'm planning on driving from Liverpool to Obidos in a 30yr old land rover with a 2 ton trailer on the back in 2 weeks..... why? All part of the adventure!
