Yes, but when everyone is busy working because they've used up all of their crappy vacation allowance a month earlier for Thanksgiving - that's all Christmas is here, lots of lights and ads to go...

I disagree. While the weather in the UK might be shite, Christmas there is not - unlike the hollow affair it is here.
