This is very accurate. Power costs over there are pricey too - in the winter we paid around $250 - 300 per month for electricity (we only had gas hobs on the oven which had a bottle(!) which is not...

I wouldn't ever count Manukau as Auckland - it is called Manukau City as it is a city in its own right. Under 40 mins from Whangaparaoa to the CBD? At what time? I checked on google maps at 7am NZ...

Think a lot of Whangaparoa is recognised as leaky homes as built in that era - prob why still so cheap. Plus really to call it Auckland is like saying you live in Manchester when you live in...
