Boris bounce is fading fast. $1.77 seen on Friday 13th December is already down to $1.73 today. Best hope for 2020 is consolidation around $1.70 with a move up to $1.91 if a trade deal can be struck...

Cabinet agree Brexit proposal. PM says it is this deal, no deal or no Brexit. Could we be looking at a possibility that Brexit will never happen. Pound reacted positively.

Been awhile since I updated the exchange rate. The high back in March was $1.84 and recent low was $1.66. Brexit negotiations are reaching a critical stage. Any positive news could boost sterling....

Transferwise has reduced the costs to convert EUR to CAD.
Old rate was 0.5% + €2
New rate is €0.50 + 0.4%

So if you send €10,000 , it was cost €40.34 instead of €49.75

Transferwise charges 0.45% of the amount that's converted + £ 0.80 GBP for sums over £3000. OFX.com fee is 0.4%

Just made first transaction with https://www.ofx.com/en-gb/ to compare the service with Transferwise.

Similar service, but OFX does not give you the ability to cancel a transaction...

Let's hope it continues raise rates in 2018 and kills the property bubble in Ontario
