UPDATE: Good news, I got an offer of employment that exceeds the 18,600 GBP requirement :eek:

This will be in addition to my existing job, where I will setup a limited company and invoice the US...

A year apart isn't an option.. It looks like six+ months together in Ireland is the best of our bad options.

In summary, will the US company pay me in GBP to a UK bank account? Absolutely. But they are a US company, with no UK presence, so they couldn't have me on paper as an employee, as they don't have...

#3 is the correct scenario. They wouldn't be against #2, but they are not setup in the UK, nor do they intend to be, so I believe my only option is to invoice...

Even with max 1 month of history though? In other words, even if I opened up the Limited company today, I would have a month of it by the time we submit her spouse visa.

They are basically saying that I need to be employed by a UK company as an employee, which is not an option for me. I am staying longterm with my current US company.

So either I quit my job and...

We meet the financial requirements, but my employer is in the US, and apparantly I need to be employed by a UK company for it to count. I am not even allowed to setup a limited company and invoice...
