Uninstalled, reinstalled, tried both Chrome and Firefox versions. Still doesn't work.

I've got a blue tick in the new uppermost Hoxx box when "United Kingdom selected and a shield icon at the top goes blue/white...still not working.

Well, it's still working and so far defying the "if it's too good to be true...." advice. Useful because apart from not being free Smart Proxy insistently asks one to log in when one's IP address...

I don't know if Unlocator ever fails with the BBC but the cheaper Smart Proxy does now and again, like it has today. But it's good they offer a free VPN, which nearly always works, and it does today....

...but today it doesn't. Had 4 tries over a period of an hour..different servers came up in the North of England...all were detected by the BBC. They've improved its onscreen appearance and...

Have received email from Hoxx acknowledging problem with BBC and others countering anti-geoblocking solutions such as their VPN. They say they are developing a fix and will inform when it's ready....

Hoxx still producing the "Rights issue" BBC notice this morning. Emailed them yesterday, no reply yet. Smart DNS Proxy and VPN still Ok,

My Smart service not at all smart today...both the Proxy and VPN not working on BBC iPlayer. It's been blocked a few times over the last couple of months, each time they restore it after a day or two...

Oh yes,Pete, sorry didn't realise it's included in the SmartDNS Proxy sites listed as unblocked, along with the BBC iPlayer. Maybe an omission, but TV Catchup is not listed.

Just informing about a good alternative to TV Catchup, which I found when looking for a CNN live stream: TVPlayer.com.

It's got the main UK channels and CNN International News (USA edition) for...

I would generally agree...except I wouldn't go so far as to say escaping from TV is a motive to relocate here! If it was it has backfired with a vengeance for some of us as we have to watch local TV...
