My Maytag front loader is the model that includes the internal heater. It's basically a button that one presses for use in the winter to ensure that the temperature for warm or hot is sufficient...

Yes, I have a front loading washing machine. Have had no problem in the 16 months I've had it. Read reviews of the Maytag Neptune 6500 here....
