lots of public facilities have closed or are now on limited hours due to the current economic climate.

I think this is another view where we need to agree to disagree.

I personally think its more to do with lack of parental control.

As I have told my daughter many times being her parent does not make me her super best friend.

I agree with what you are saying and admire anyone who has faced difficulties and came through them.

Some times the odds are stacked so high its not so easy.

I doubt it is easy

It is not a choice I would make, however I had a very fortunate upbringing and have never been faced with many of the horrendous situations many of the women I worked with...

Scot47 i don't think Buckfast is as big a problem compared to alcopops, 3 for £10 bottles of wine, happy hour. Litres of vodka etc for £15.

Changes to how people drink, has meant much more at home...
