If the official source of information isn't any good, then we'll just have to hope that any non-Muslim BE members who have travelled to Thailand to marry a Malaysian Muslim, and then returned to KL...

If you post on a public forum, anecdotal evidence and opinions is pretty much all you can expect. Why not contact the Islamic Council in KL and just ask them?
